Hello

My Nutritional Beginnings 

Health and nutrition have always been a love of mine! It began as early as I can remember with a Mom who valued alternative medicine and nutrition. Throughout high school I made all the diet mistakes one could make. I over exercised, under ate, tried various diets, and landed on a very strict vegan diet with little guidance. Ultimately all of this made me feel generally unwell, experience hair loss, regular exhaustion, and what I now recognize to be dysregulated blood sugar levels. Thankfully, I still carried a passion for health and fitness which lead me to the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. Here I studied nutrition from qualified professionals, and I realized just how much learning I still had to do in regards to nutrition. Along with many other topics, I learned the importance of individuality in nutrition, studied fad diets, and learned how to instill the fundamentals of a plant-based diet correctly. With my new found education I was able to reverse the self-inflicted health damage I had done by jumping into harsh and strict diets blindly. It was a beautiful feeling to finally be able to experience the true health I had been searching for!

 

I graduated from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition with honours in 2020. Since then, I have been working with various clients to wade through an overwhelming sea of online nutrition advice given from so called “professionals” and instill the science-based fundamentals of good nutrition that improved my life dramatically. I still value plants as the basis of a healthy diet, only now I help others to avoid the mistakes I made when introducing a more plant-based approach to their own diets. Further, l teach others practical lifestyle and nutrition habits that will help regulate blood sugar and improve health concerns such as weight gain, brain fog, low energy, and food cravings.
